Stars Casino Hosts Celebrity Benefit Event

Stars Casino at 3170 Naglee Road hosted its Inaugural Easter Hop Charity Poker Tournament on Saturday, complete with celebrity guests and raffle prizes, to raise money for Tracy’s family shelters.

The public was invited to participate in the day-long poker tournament, with celebrity guests including former Raiders wide receiver "Swervyn" Mervyn Fernandez, former Sacramento Kings player Olden Polynice, former Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers player Larry Bates, and actor Quinton Aaron, who starred in The Blind Side.

Guests who brought Easter basket donations received a raffle ticket, and the baskets and proceeds from the poker tournament went to McHenry House Family Shelter and Abode Services.
